at soundwaves creative, test prints are a crucial part of the creative process as they help ensure that the final product meets the soundwaves creative standard. test prints are made throughout the design process and are a form of the recorded evolution that leads us to the final print ready product. they give us an opportunity to see a yet to be released design in full scale as opposed to continually staring at a screen which gives us advantages in the editing process. we use them to experiment with unique colors, papers, textures, brightness, contrast, and sizes while trying to dial in a print that meets our creative standards.
test prints are unique as they are not part of of any in-addition print series, nor are they assigned a diamond certification. however, all test prints are embossed with our "test print" mark. they provide a different visual that was never taken to market. supply of them is extremely limited and typically consists of 1 to 10 prints. test prints give you access to the cutting room floor and are our version of "b-sides." test prints are made available to purchase in the soundwaves creative vault and appear as variants of the actual in-addition prints. more the reason to keep refreshing our in-stock page.
